Our constant search for the beauty that only nature can express led us this time to the Aosta Valley, specifically to the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Park. 70,000 hectares of pure emotion at high altitude.

We went to the heart of the Salento area, near Otranto, to discover a surprising place where nature expresses science fiction-like colors: the Bauxite Quarry.
Shaped by glaciers and carved by streams, the park's valleys are home to breathtaking flora and fauna.
In the forests of the valley bottoms, you can see larch mixed with spruce, stone pine, and more rarely white spruce. As you climb up the slopes, the trees give way to vast alpine pastures.
We explored Valnontey, fully breathing in the park's wilderness: groves and snowy glades alternate, easily allowing us to be fascinated by the watchful passing of wild animals.
We then walked along the shores and on the frozen mirror of the small Blue Lake. Surrounded by beautiful century-old larches, on clear sunny days it allows an incredible view, in its background, of the majestic Matterhorn Mountain.
We then came to one of the most fascinating sights in the entire Aosta Valley: the Lillaz Waterfalls. Shaping them are rocky jumps that are traversed by the waters of the Urtier stream. In particular, there are three jumps that the stream makes, with a total height of 150 meters.
The first, rather modest jump is overlooked by an already more important jump where the water of the Urtier stream flows into a deep basin. The path here climbs further to reach a bridge from which to overlook the intermediate jump. Past the bridge here is the third jump, the most impressive and spectacular.
